The Çanakkale 1915 Bridge
is being built across the Dardanelles, a major international waterway in Turkey.
It will be 3.6km long and 73m high and carry six lanes.

The Akashi Kaikyō Bridge
in Japan is 3.9km, with 66m clearance.
It was completed in 1998.
